G'Day from USA!

We arrived on Wednesday 23rd April in Los Angeles, California. First step was checking into a hostel, and second step was organising some wheels - much to Nathan's delight we were able to score this hot little Mazda MX5.

So we spent the next couple of days cruising around Beverley Hills, Mulholland Drive, Sunset Strip, Hollywood Boulevard, etc…

Following Jacqui’s suggestion, we went on the hunt for Thai Elvis! And found him next door to our hostel - complete fluke!

Of course, we had to hit the major tourist attractions, here are some happy snappies.

After a week, we'd bought a campervan, and were just waiting for the contracts etc to come through. They were kind enough to lend us one of theirs in the meantime, so we headed up to Mammoth Mountain for a touch of spring skiing. The snow was excellent, being about twice the height of Perisher there wasn't too much spring melt, and there was no one there! Bonus that we met this awesome retired ski-instructor who took us on a gruelling last day, my thighs are still burning. Our get fit regime is well on track.

When we got back, our "real" campervan was waiting for us! We've now "moved in" and headed for our next adventure, in Vegas :)

We are also now contactable! Our Cell phone (read: mobile phone) number is +1 323 406 3146. Please try to limit calls to early morning and lunch time (say from 2.00am until 2.00pm). But the best way to contact us remains via email, which is danya.webb@gmail.com or nathanwebb@fastmail.fm. We'll be checking hopefully every couple of days.

Hey there.

Would have been fun zipping around in the MX5.

How was Bat Country, I mean Vegas?
Hope the waitresses left those polar bears alone :)

Liked the photos.
"Fresh Jerky" - This isn't really marinated, dried meat - it's FRESH@!#!@!
Worlds Greatest Wine-o has a cool hat, how were his jokes?

Looking forward to the next installment.

Cheers, Mark
